Contributing to open source has been one of the most rewarding parts of my engineering journey. I contributed to organisations under Google Summer of Code — shipping merged pull requests and filing actionable issues across FOSSASIA and the Systers community by Anita Borg Institute.
Systers — Anita Borg Institute
Systers, an Anita Borg Institute community, builds open-source tools that empower women and underrepresented groups in tech. I contributed across three Android projects — filing actionable issues, submitting pull requests, and improving app quality for real users worldwide.
PowerUp Android
Android / JavaAn educational choose-your-own-adventure game empowering pre-teen girls with decision-making skills. Contributed issues and pull requests focused on gameplay, UI polish, and test coverage.
Peacecorps Malaria
Android / JavaA Peace Corps malaria-prevention companion app for field volunteers. Filed issues tracking UX inconsistencies and submitted pull requests improving data reliability and offline behaviour.
FOSSASIA
FOSSASIA is one of the most active open-source organisations in Asia, building technology for social good. I contributed to their SUSI AI Android client — shipping UI improvements, fixing integration edge cases, and improving overall code quality.
